HOW SCORING WORKS: The top 4 in each division whether they clear or not advances to UNAA Obstacle World Series Finals in Anaheim on July 27-28th, 2024. The top 8 clears in each division also move on to World Finals. So the top 4 finishers are guaranteed a spot to World Finals. Top 3 in UNAA move on to World Finals in Anaheim for UNAA Regionals which are July 24-26th in Anaheim, CA.
FINA SPEED SECTIONALS COMPETITION: Consists of 8 obstacles with a combination of speed, agility, upper body, and lower body which must be completed in a race against the clock. If you are in top 4 in your age and gender or top 8 full clears on all obstacles, you qualify to compete at the National Finals on July 27-28 in Anaheim, CA at World Obstacle Expo. Speed gets two chances to get your best time!
FINA ENDURANCE SECTIONALS COMPETITION: Consists of 12 obstacles with a combination of upper body, lower body, agility and grip endurance. You gain one point for every obstacle complete with a 15 second max rest between each obstacle. If you are a top 4 finisher or top 8 who complete all obstacles in the allowed time limit (different for each age group) you qualify to compete at the National Finals on July 27th-28th in Anaheim, CA next to Disney at the World Obstacle Expo.
UNAA REGIONALS Competition: This will be an endurance style course. The time is scored at the same time as the FINA endurance course on the exact same course. One timer will score the endurance course based on FINA scoring (ninjaworks) and another timer will score based on the UNAA timing system (NinjaMaster). You may place differently in FINA versus UNAA depending on how many register! Top 3 of each male and female division advances to worlds in UNAA. If someone in top 3 has already qualified it will drop down to the next person. A full clear is not necessary to advance to World Finals, but top three scores are guaranteed a spot at UNAA world finals!
FUN RUNS “Ghost Runs” : If you have not qualified for FINA Regionals and want to do a “FUN run to see where you land in the rankings, You can compete for a discounted amount but just would not take away a podium spot but may be recognized on podium but may not take away an award from someone who is trying to qualify.
FINA SPEED & ENDURANCE SECTIONAL MEDALS are given to the top 3 in each age group. And UNAA REGIONAL medals are given to the top 3 in each age group and each gender.
I typically acknowledge the top 5 in each division for kids divisions
